Note de lecture :

Sarah Moss’ Summer Water

Title : a (very) flawed masterpiece.

John Irving can get away with it, but when it comes to Sarah Moss, I have doubts.

Adopting a conversation style, chatting with the reader,

flitting from one subject to another and slapping sledgehammer judgments

on this and that (such as men who don’t like public hair),

can appeal to some, perhaps, even, to many. Personally,

I find it tiring, and it is a pity because some of the metaphors,

evocations and dreams are excellent.
