It starts
like something out of Dan Brown, keeps going like Clive Cussler, and ends as a grotesque
fantasy nonsense reminiscent of Harry Potter.
The middle part, which we could
call the 'detective' part, is excellent in the way it deals with the sequence of
events. The sudden death of three major characters, and Imogen’s trip to Los
Angeles are very enjoyable twists indeed. But even then, it’s impossible to
believe for a second that the Catholic church, a giant pharmaceutical company
and a crooked preacher could have taken the journalist’s “findings” seriously.
Absolute
Proof is a very flawed and ridiculous story told by an otherwise good writer.
